Working Groups
Member working groups will:
-
Participate in international standards organizations to insure the interests of the ultracapacitor industry are represented
SAE, IEC, JSAE, IEEE, JIEE, EN, ISO, etc.
-
Develop recommended practices in the areas of:
-
Performance metrics & testing protocols
-
Form & fit
-
Provide educational resources on the features and benefits of ultracapacitors as high power energy storage.
-
Cooperate with global and regional authorities to address regulations which affect the adoption of ultracapacitors.

Standards Working Group: The Standards Working Group develops draft standards, coordinating member activi-ties within existing standard-making bodies. As an affiliate division of ECA, kFI standards activities are coordinated with EIA and ANSI standards. The Codes & Standards Working Group serves as the communication conduit for member commentary on Standards at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
Regulatory Working Group: The Regulatory Working Group addresses issues in the regulations affecting the cus-tomer lifecycle, from transportation to recycling and disposal. Coordination of regional and international regulations is critical to accelerating the often lengthy process of setting regulations appropriate to the technology, while in alignment with local and global precedent.
Education and Outreach Working Group: The Education and Outreach Working Group helps accelerate the commercialization of high power ultracapacitors by developing education and outreach programs for industry and academia, design tools for engineers, disseminating key messages to targeted audiences and industry conferences, and supporting the work of the other kFI Working Groups.
